The Friends of Coleridgewww.friendsofcoleridge.com U.K. Charity Reg. No. 295285
Tho' Genius, like the fire on the Altar, can only be kindled from Heaven, yet it will perish unless supplied with appropriate fuel to feed it—or if it meet not with the virtues, whose society alone can reconcile it to earth, it will return ... whence it came, or at least lie hid as beneath embers, till some sudden & awakening Gust of re-generating Grace ... rekindles & reveals it anew. S.T.C. (Notebooks 2:3136)

The
Friends of Coleridge,
founded in 1986 by David Miall and Rosemary Cawthray, aim
to foster interest in the life and works of the poet Samuel
Taylor Coleridge and his circle, and to support Coleridge
Cottage in Nether Stowey, Somerset, through
co-operation with the National Trust.
We pursue our aims by publishing the Coleridge Bulletin, sent out to members twice a year; by hosting a biennial International Conference at Cannington and an annual Study Weekend at Kilve, both in North Somerset, close to the Quantock Hills, which inspired some of Coleridge's greatest poetry.
Membership is open to all. Our members all share
an interest in or admiration for Samuel Taylor Coleridge. For
details of how to
subscribe please
go to the membership page. We also
welcome any enquiries; you will find a list of people to
help you on the
contacts
page.
