TOM WEDGWOOD BICENTENARY SYMPOSIUM

LARRY SCHAAF, the celebrated photo historian and biographer of Fox Talbot will present recent research on Wedgwood

 

MICHAEL GRAY, formerly of the Fox Talbot Museum, will demonstrate the processes used by Wedgwood and Davy in relation to the surprising results of his own recent experiments with photography on leather

 

Professor DAVID KNIGHT, of the University of Durham, the biographer of Humphry Davy, will discuss Wedgwood’s productive relationship with Davy

 

NEIL VICKERS, of King’s College, London, author of the recently published ’Coleridge and the Doctors’

and

GAVIN BUDGE, of the University of Central England, will discuss the influence of Wedgwood on Coleridge and the Romantic Poets

An exhibition of artefacts and papers relating to Tom Wedgwood (courtesy of the Wedgwood Museum and the NMSI) will be displayed in the Faraday Galleries.
