Friends of Coleridge Bursaries for Coleridge International Conference Kobe 16-18 July 2011.

The Friends of Coleridge are glad to have the opportunity of supporting the Kobe conference by offering two 1,000 GBP travel bursaries to members of the Friends of Coleridge towards the cost of air fares to Japan.

The first priority will be for UK post graduate students presenting a paper at the conference, but if by 31 January 2011, the closing date for paper submissions, any part of the bursary fund remains unawarded we will consider awards to post graduate students from any other part of the world not to exceed the cost of their air fare up to a maximum of 1000 GBP.

Applications will be considered in order of receipt, which means in practice that any UK applicant who meets the above criteria can have a quick decision on acceptance of their paper. Non-UK applicants will be on a waiting list until 31 January 2011, but will be informed if the bursaries are all allocated prior to that date.

Once an applicant has had a paper accepted by the JSPS project group, they should complete the bursary application form as a Word.doc and send it as an attachment to the Friends of Coleridge, by emailing Paul Cheshire treasurer@friendsofcoleridge.com

It is not necessary to be a member of the Friends of Coleridge to apply for a bursary, but a successful applicant would be expected to join the Friends of Coleridge on acceptance and write a conference report for The Coleridge Bulletin.
