Coleridge Conference 2006
Liber Aureus: Reasons to Return in 2008
"The Coleridge Conference was terrific." Fred Burwick.
I wanted to thank you again for inviting me to participate in this conference. Everything about it was memorable: excellent papers and scholarship, several pubs within stumbling distance, thoughtful planning, excursions to the Quantocks and to Ottery St. Mary, comfortable food and accommodations, and all of it spent in the presence of good company.
Michael Pino, Boston, USA
How good it was to be able to tell my Radical Romanticism seminar group today just what the Pixies Parlour was, and how wide the gap between that reality and the imagination of pixies. I think it helped them grasp something of the relationship between pixies and the Revolution?
Peter Anderson, Cape Town
Both of us really enjoyed the conference and we're both determined to come again next time. The papers were good, but it was the people that made it so special. A really super group.
Richard Cronin & Dorothy Macmillan, Glasgow
My heartfelt appreciation and thanks for the most friendly, interesting conference I've ever been to. Well worth the trek across continents.
Heidi Thomson, New Zealand
Thanks for your part in organising a great week. My brain aches with the absorption of knowledge and my washing machine, like yours, protests of its load of sweaty socks.
Chris Murray, Warwick
Thanks again for a marvellous conference and all the work you put into it. I learned a lot, made new friends, and had both an enjoying and academically stimulating experience. Well done!
William Davis, Colorado
All three Coleridge conferences that I’ve attended so far have been wonderful beyond words, and yet they still seem to get better every time.
Nora Meurs, Cambridge, Mass. and Belgium
It is always nice to meet you, and to talk with all those Coleridgeans in such a friendly atmosphere.
Kazuko Oguro, Japan
Wonderful conference wasn't it!
